RTSC is a great option to get the training and education you need to get employed in a career you desire. We train with employment being our top priority. All entry level training, certifications and support is provided to help you succeed. There are three main benefits of training with the RTSC, they are:

All students get an opportunity to earn an opportunity to work with an employer looking to hire them.
2. No Tuition
There is no cost to train with us.
3. Paid Wages
Students are paid minimum wage for the hours they are in class

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

RTSC holds their students to a high level of accountability. Students are evaluated and granted a work placement based on the following 4 pillars:

1. Attendance/Punctuality
2. Attitude/Behaviour
3. Work Ethic
4. Skill Development

In addition to the pillars, students are required to comply to:

• All Occupational Health & Safety Requirements
• Compliance to RTSC Fit for Duty Policy
• No cell phones during class times
• Use a punch clock for attendance purposes

SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Lived in the Regina area for a minimum of 6 months
  • Have a SIN Number (CANNOT start with a 9)
  • With the age of 19 – 30 years of age (NOTE: we are mandated to look for quality applicants within this age, however we hire on a best fit model and therefore can accept students outside this age range)
  • Have excellent prior work history and/or commitment to train in a specific area
  • Comply with all specified course requirements

Get the training you need to start a career as a Child Care Educator.

Regina Trades & Skills Centre offers a Child Care Educator course. No Tuition and a connection to an employer looking to hire you. The program will provide learners with the basic fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the child care industry.

Individual must have successfully completed English A30 and B30 (or equivalent).

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation are an asset.

A Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required upon acceptance into the course (own expense).

Are you looking to start a career working as a Personal Support Worker with the elderly but don't have the skills needed to secure employment or know exactly which trade to go in to?

The Regina Trades & Skills Centre is putting on an entry-level skills course specific to becoming a personal support assistant. There is no tuition to attend our training, and we connect you to industry with a 2 week work placement at the end of the course. Awesome Employers are looking to hire our students and this is a perfect opportunity to start out in a high demand trade!

You will take the Personal Care Worker Course and bring it to life, practicing skills while learning about gentle persuasive approach, dementia awareness, medication modules and more. You will learn all skills needed to secure entry level employment in this industry. There will be a minimum of 70% practical training to get you ready to start your career. RTSC will give you the opportunity to work with an employer who is looking to hire you.
