Adult Training

At the Regina Trades & Skills Centre (RTSC), everything we do is focused on helping you get the skills and gain the experience and take that important first step toward a rewarding career.

Our short-term, industry-focused programs prepare you for entry-level employment. You'll develop practical skills, complete relevant safety training, and gain experience using the tools, equipment, and materials found in your chosen industry. Every program is built around current workplace expectations, so the skills you learn are directly connected to the work you want to pursue.

Hands-On Training That Prepares You for the Workplace

At RTSC, we believe the best way to learn is by doing. That's why at least 70% of your training is hands-on and practical.

Your training takes place in the classroom, in our shops, and, when possible, on real job sites in the community. You'll have opportunities to put your skills into practice through meaningful projects that reflect the type of work you'll encounter on the job.

This combination of technical knowledge and practical experience helps you build the skills, confidence, and work habits employers want.

Learn from Experienced Industry Professionals

Our trades training is led by Red Seal instructors or industry professionals with equivalent experience who bring real-world knowledge directly into your training.

You'll learn proper techniques, industry standards, safe work practices, and what employers expect from someone entering the field. Where applicable, your training may also provide the opportunity to earn apprenticeship hours, giving you a head start as you work toward your future in the skilled trades.

Training with Employment in Mind

RTSC training is about more than completing a course. It's about preparing you for what comes next.

From industry-specific skills and safety certifications to hands-on experience and connections with employers, we're here to help you build a strong foundation for employment and your future career.

Get the skills. Gain the experience.
