Steel Studs & Drywall – 9 Week Course
Regina Trades & Skills Centre offers an entry level Steel Studs & Drywall course. The program will provide learners with the basic fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the drywall industry. This course will include 3 weeks of instruction in steel stud framing & boarding as well as 3 weeks of mudding, taping & finishing instruction.
Requirements
- No minimum education required (Grade 12 or GED Recommended)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License recommended
- Compliance to RTSC’s fit for duty policy

Child Care Educator - 9 Week Course
The Regina Trades & Skills Centre is putting on an entry-level skills course specific to getting started as a Child Care Educator. There is no tuition to attend our training, and we connect you to industry with a 2 week work placement at the end of the course. Awesome Employers are looking to hire our students and this is a perfect opportunity to start out in a high demand trade! You will learn about a child care environment, gross and fine motor skills, interaction, communication and planning. You will learn all skills needed to secure entry level employment in this industry.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Recommended but not required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation recommended
- A Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required upon acceptance into the course (own expense).

Regina Trades and Skills Centre offers a Commercial & Industrial Roofing course. The program will provide learners with the basic fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the commercial & industrial roofing industry. There is no tuition to attend our training, and we connect you to industry with a 2 week work placement at the end of the course. Concrete - 8 Week Course
Regina Trades & Skills Centre offers a Concrete course. The program will provide learners with the basic fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the Concrete industry.
You will learn about hand and power tools, materials, rebar, forms, slabs, curbs and equipment. You will learn all skills needed to secure entry level employment in this industry.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Recommended but not required (Apprenticeship requirements are Grade 10 Math and Grade 10 Science)

Education Assistant - 8 Week Course
Regina Trades & Skills Centre offers a Education Assistant course. The program will provide learners with the basic fundamental knowledge, practical skills and all certifications needed to gain employment as an EA in Elementary and High Schools. Graduates will have training in assisting classroom teachers to involve all students, including those with diverse and intensive needs, in classroom and school activities. Other training duties include personal care, grooming, communication, food prep and cognitive/emotional care.
